This redesign is our biggest UI overhaul ever, and we’ve crafted it with three guiding pillars in mind:
Actionability – Each page clearly highlights what you can do next, thanks to streamlined layouts and prominent calls to action.
Intuitiveness – We revamped the information architecture so teams can quickly find what they need without extra clicks or confusion.
Consistency – A robust design system underpins the entire interface, making navigation across Cortex more cohesive than ever.

What’s New
1. Enhanced Entity Pages
Cortex has a lot of information to surface for each entity. We want to make it as quick and easy as possible to find what you’re looking for and take action on what’s most important.
Focused layout: We’ve reorganized entity pages to bring the most important details to the forefront—like ownership, active incidents, and recent deploys.
All integrations, one place: Related integrations (Git, incident management, monitoring, etc.) now appear in contextually grouped sections for simpler navigation.
At-a-glance incident visibility: If there’s an active incident, you’ll see it instantly at the top of the page alongside the latest deploy info.
2. Improved Scorecards & Initiatives
Scorecards & Initiatives are all about creating a culture of continuous improvement and our new Scorecards make it even easier to see how your teams are progressing against the best practices you’ve set.
Improved progress tracking: Quickly see how your teams are doing against each Scorecard level, and access active Initiatives from within Scorecards.
Initiative insights: The new Initiative list shows real-time progress for all your ongoing efforts. You can also drill down to a single entity’s page to see all its ongoing Initiatives.
3. More Powerful Workflows
Scaffolder meets Workflows: By merging these features, you can add extra steps before or after the Scaffolder, giving you a fully customizable process for building new services according to your unique standards. But we’re not stopping there in making workflows even more powerful and easy-to-use—stay tuned for an exciting announcement on this front over the next few weeks.
4. Dark Mode
Choose your style: Every user can set their preference between light or dark mode—perfect for reducing eye strain or simply matching your personal taste.
5. Easier search
Command-K Global Search: We’ve made it easier to find exactly what you’re looking for, putting exact matches front and center in the results list.
