This month marks a huge milestone for us at Cortex. We’re excited to announce that ServiceNow, the global leader in digital workflows, has invested in our Series C funding round. Together, we’re pushing forward with our mission to unify tech operations at the enterprise through our industry-leading Internal Developer Portal (IDP). With this partnership, we’re set to revolutionize how engineering and IT teams work together through smarter self-service workflows, scorecards, and catalogs that make operations run smoother and teams more productive.

Bridging the Gap

At Cortex, we’ve always been focused on empowering engineering teams to do their best work. From self-service tools to driving productivity with automation, our goal is simple: make engineers’ lives easier. ServiceNow, with its proven expertise in optimizing technology workflows, sees the same potential we do. Together we are focused on further breaking down barriers between engineering and IT teams—two groups that have long operated in silos.

“The evolving pace of software development presents exciting opportunities if properly managed,” says Victor Chang, vice president of ServiceNow Ventures. “ServiceNow Ventures is dedicated to investing in technologies that promote innovation and drive productivity, while ensuring alignment. Cortex plays a pivotal role in this transformation and our recent investment will help to accelerate its AI initiatives and enhance the developer experience for enterprise customers worldwide.”

The New Developer Experience (DevEx)

So, what does this mean for the modern developer experience? It’s more than just giving engineers new tools; it’s about creating an environment where they can thrive without all the friction. With this new investment, Cortex is pushing DevEx to new heights. Here’s what that looks like:

- Frictionless Onboarding: New developers get up to speed faster with self-service portals that provide instant access to the resources and project info they need.

- Workflow Automation: Repetitive tasks are streamlined, so developers can focus on writing code and solving real problems.

- Proactive Insights: Integrated scorecards give real-time data on productivity, performance, and operational health to both developers and managers.

This is the future of engineering productivity, and it’s powered by Cortex IDP.

Looking Ahead: A Unified Future for Engineering and IT

As we look to the future, this partnership between Cortex IDP and ServiceNow is just the beginning of what’s possible. We’re building a bridge between IT and engineering that will redefine how enterprises approach digital transformation. By combining data-driven insights, self-service tools, and streamlined workflows into one powerful ecosystem, we’re creating the future of engineering productivity.

Our mission is simple: give teams the tools and data they need to move faster, collaborate better, and make smarter decisions, all while maintaining the highest levels of reliability and quality. This partnership is more than an investment—it’s a bold step forward for the future of DevEx, engineering, and IT.
